Webflow compared
Webflow or a managed restaurant website: who is the designer in this arrangement?
Webflow is a professional tool and sites built on it can be superb. It also assumes there is a designer, because the control it gives you is the control a designer wants. A restaurant that hires one for a build usually ends up in the same place as every other one-off project: a good site on launch day, and no one holding the keys three months later when the menu changes and the layout needs to change with it.
The tool is not the deliverable
What a restaurant is buying is not software, it is a site that is right this week and a person responsible for keeping it that way. Webflow is a good way for a professional to produce the first thing. It says nothing about the second, which is where restaurant sites actually fail. Our plans are built the other way round: the build is the beginning of the relationship, the monthly fee covers the weekly work, and the one-time build fee is only invoiced once the site is live and approved.
Structured content, without you learning a collection editor
Webflow can model a menu properly with collections, and a good designer will do that. Somebody then has to maintain those collections when the market fish changes on a Friday. We do that part for you: send the change however is easiest, and it is published inside the revision turnaround, with five revisions a month included at any size.
Where the money goes
A Webflow restaurant site usually means a design fee, then a platform subscription, then a designer on call for changes, usually hourly. Ours is a single monthly fee that covers the site, the domain, managed hosting with SSL and DDoS protection, the weekly updates, the revisions and the researched articles, plus a one-time build fee invoiced after launch. Neither is automatically cheaper; what differs is whether a small change comes with an invoice or not.
Speed, and the money you already spend on being found
Any tool can produce a fast page or a slow one. We guarantee ours on every page rather than the homepage, because the page a guest opens is the menu, usually on a phone, often on a weak connection outside your door. It also matters for paid traffic: Google Ads Help lists landing page experience as one of the three components of ad quality, and says higher quality generally leads to better positions and lower cost. Fast and relevant is the part you control.
Side by side for a restaurant
Read the middle column as what a plan here covers, and the right column as what the alternative asks of you. Where an answer depends on how the other option is set up, it says so rather than guessing.

Which one fits your restaurant?
When Webflow is the better choice
- You have a designer in the family or on the team who will stay involved.
- The brand is the product and you want pixel-level control of every page.
- You are building something unusual that a managed template structure would fight.
- You are comfortable paying hourly for changes.
When a managed site wins
- You want a professional-looking site without hiring or managing a designer.
- The site has to change most weeks and you do not want an invoice each time.
- You want hosting, security, updates and content in one predictable fee.
- You want the menu and location structure decided by someone who builds restaurant sites all day.
If you already have a Webflow site you like
Keep the design. We can rebuild it as a managed site that carries the same look, fix the menu and location structure underneath, redirect the old addresses, and take the upkeep off your designer so they only get called for the work they enjoy. Nothing is thrown away just because it was built elsewhere.

Questions about Webflow
Is Webflow better than a managed website?
It is a better tool for a designer and a worse answer for a restaurant with no designer. The comparison is not the editor, it is whether somebody is responsible for the site every week, because that is what decides whether it is accurate in month six.
Can you rebuild a site that was designed in Webflow?
Yes. We can carry the visual direction across, rebuild the pages, redirect the old addresses so nothing breaks, and take over the weekly updates from launch.
Who owns the design you build?
The content, the photography and the domain are yours, and the domain transfers free if you leave. We do not hold your brand hostage to keep the monthly fee.
What if I want a very specific layout?
Tell us on the onboarding call and we build to it. Layout adjustments during the build are part of the build, not a separate charge, and the build fee is only invoiced after you approve the finished site.
Do you charge hourly for design changes after launch?
No. There is no hourly billing anywhere. Five revisions a month are included at any size, and further revisions are a flat rate each.
How fast are the pages you build?
Every page is held to the PageSpeed target in your plan, not just the homepage. Pages ship close to no client-side script and are served from a global edge network.
Can my designer still be involved?
Of course. Plenty of owners have someone whose eye they trust. Send their feedback as revisions and we implement it, or hand us the design direction and we build to it.
What happens to the site if I stop paying?
The managed service stops, and we transfer your domain wherever you ask at no charge, with your content handed over. Cancellation needs to reach us at least two business days before your next invoice date.
